Despite improvements on how the UK National Lottery can be played, such as playing online and despite the millions up for grabs every single week, big lottery prizes go unclaimed and tens of millions every year end up in the fund for good causes. These are life-changing amounts of money, being missed out on by people for all sorts of reasons. Lost lottery tickets are big business for charity and you could be sitting on an unclaimed lottery prize now and not even know it.
There are five big lottery prizes unclaimed that will run out before the New Year and the smallest one is worth over £50,000. That could give someone a fantastic Christmas and New Year so we are bringing you all the news and details of these tickets today to give you an opportunity to double check and possibly claim one of these massive UK National Lottery prizes.

The first of the unclaimed UK National Lottery prizes is worth £50,503 but to claim this one you’ll need to be quick as it runs out on 12th October 2009. The ticket was sold in the Fareham area for the 15th April draw and matched five numbers and the bonus, the winning numbers for this draw were 5 – 9 – 18 – 23 – 31 – 39. Bonus ball 37.
Next up is a ticket purchase on 6th May, you have until 2nd November 2009 to claim your prize if you purchased a ticket in the Glasgow area for the draw held on May 6th. This ticket matched five balls and the bonus and is worth £101,849. The winning numbers for the draw were 1 – 8 – 10 – 13 – 20 – 34. Bonus ball 28.
Then for the draw held on 3rd June is yet another ticket that matched five balls and the bonus, this one really is a life-changing amount of cash at £189,610. The ticket was sold in the Borough of Torfaen and must be claimed by 30th November 2009. The winning numbers for this draw were 4 – 6 – 22 – 31 – 33 – 25. Bonus ball 3.
The next winner is from the Mid-Suffolk area and matched five and the bonus on the draw held on 10th June. This ticket is worth £68,201 and the winning numbers for the draw were 3 – 8 – 21 – 23 – 30 – 46. Bonus ball 26. The winner has until 7th December to claim this cash which would be handy for some Christmas shopping.
The final unclaimed prize this year was for a ticket sold in the Flintshire area, this ticket was sold for a draw held on 17th June and matched five main balls and the bonus. The winning numbers for the draw were 8 – 10 – 11 – 14 – 28 – 36. Bonus ball 18 and the winner has until 14th December to claim the £58,981 owing.
That’s a lot of unclaimed prizes and it would be a real shame to see the winners miss out. Check those lottery tickets very carefully and don’t forget if you play online you’ll never lose another lottery ticket.
