The Australian Lottery winner finally came forward this evening to claim the $30 million prize after a day of media frenzy surrounding the winner.

Now, a couple from Ashford have come forward to claim the prize after hearing the appeal on the radio today for the winner and checking their lotto tickets. The middle-aged couple are quoting as saying they never expected to win a big lottery prize and are, right now both struggling to get their heads wrapped around the idea.

$30 million is a staggering amount of cash, even when compared to some of the biggest world lottery draws and this lucky couple were struggling with a huge amount of debt before their win.

They have no need to worry now, or at least not about money as they should never have any debt problems again. The couple intend on treating themselves to a cruise to celebrate their win and upgrading to their own home from a rented property.

The winning numbers for the Oz Lotto draw on Tuesday evening – numbers this lucky couple are unlikely to ever forget were 2 – 25 – 28 – 29 – 39 – 40. The supplementary numbers were 14 and 31. That just leaves us to say congratulations to the lucky couple and happy spending!
