powerball-lotteryAs a multi-state lottery the Powerball Lottery is becoming a formidable force this year with several new US states joining in the last few months and now we have news of yet another state joining as Arkansas is to join the Powerball Lottery. The new state deal is part of plans by the popular multi-state lottery to raise even more revenue, push jackpots up even higher and increase ticket sales and it certainly seems to be working.

The decision went to vote this week by the Arkansas Lottery commission and they have voted to join the Multi-state Powerball lottery with the commission director Ernie Passailaigue saying that the state of Arkansas could begin selling Powerball Lottery tickets before the end of the year.

The commission director also added at the meeting that although they are keen to join the Powerball Lottery is would be a while – at least one to two years – before they even considered offering Keno, one of the Powerball Lottery’s most popular games, saying these extra games are of much lower priority that the Powerball Lottery itself.
