Amber Valley plea for lottery winner
7th May 2008 3:39 PM
Recently I wrote about a few unclaimed lottery prizes and today I read about a ticket that was purchased in the Amber Valley Borough area that is worth £62,509 after the holder was lucky enough to draw five numbers and the bonus ball in the draw that took place on Saturday 19th April 2008.
Although there is no real urgency the winner has until October 2008 to come forward and claim their prize. The numbers for this win were 5, 19, 24, 38, 42 and 46 with the bonus ball being 27.
Trying to jog the winner’s memory the Ripley and Heanor News go on to recap about events in the news that day, the go on to say how Duffy was number one in the charts with American Boy.
A spokesman for the National Lottery goes on to say ‘You should check pockets, your handbag (If you are female), wallets and purses and all the usual places you keep your lottery tickets. We are desperate to find this lucky winner and pass on their winnings – this prize could really make a difference to the winner’s life’
As with all winners on the National Lottery there is 180 days in which to claim, if no claim is made in this period then it is put into the “charity” pot. If you are concerned about lost or missing tickets then it is always worth checking out the National Lotteries home page.
Let’s hope this winner is just away on holiday and hasn’t checked their ticket yet!
