Age is no problem for Euromillions winners

EuromillionsWe at the World Lottery office have been reflecting on the last year in the lottery world. It’s interesting to see trends for the year, when rollovers happened, who the big winners were and just how high those jackpots got. During this research we have noticed that age is no problem for Euromillions winners as the Pan-Europe Lottery has seen three big rollovers won by players over 60 in the UK this year.

Now we’re not at all suggesting that players over 60 are old and we’re sure there are plenty of people nearing or over retirement age that play both the UK National Lottery and Euromillions Lottery as there are from all walks of life. We just wanted to congratulate all the lucky over 60’s lottery winners who have won big on the Euromillions Lottery this year, it’s certainly been lucky!

In June 2009, 74 year old Brian Caswell scooped £25 million on the Euromillions Lottery and that was just the start of the luck for the over 60’s and just a sign where the big jackpots might go.

Fast forward to November and there was a massive multi-rollover jackpot up for grabs and £90 million dictated that chances of it being won with increased sales would  be high. In the event it was a share with the UK shareholder being £45.5 million richer and the youngest of our ‘older’ lottery winners at 58.

Now of course we’re into a new year but until last weekend no Euromillions jackpots had been won in 2010. That made it a triple rollover with over £50 million up for grabs. Again it was a share, one half to France, one half to the UK’s oldest taxi driver surely, 76 year old George Sturt

So as you can see, age really is no problems for Euromillions winners, anyone can win!
