A World War II Veteran has won $4.4 million on the Canada Lotto 6/49 and as the 90 year old lottery winner celebrates he says he suspects his late wife and mother may have something do to with the fantastic win. Maurice Ducharme, a retired mechanic and World War II veteran has been playing the Lotto 6/49 since it started in June 1982 but has never had a big win until now.
It’s great news for the gentleman and should make the rest of his days very comfortable indeed. Mr Ducharme is a father of four and Grandfather of eight and no doubt he’ll now be spoiling his big family with his new found riches.

He said that although he was very pleased with his win, it made him miss his wife even more, she unfortunately died two years ago. Ironically he hit the jackpot last Saturday, his late mother’s birthday.
Mr Ducharme thinks that his late wife and mother may have cooked up a plan together from beyond the grave to ensure he hit this big jackpot.
He says he will be sharing his good fortune with his large family and will be planning trips abroad. He’s looking forward to visiting Barbados and Florida and is considering upgrading his car to a brand new Ford Mustang.
I guess he has no worries about what to do when the money runs out and the $4.4 million Canada Lotto 6/49 win should see him nicely for the rest of his days.
