The winners have been named as Colin and Chris Weir, a married couple with two children from Largs in Scotland. It was thought that the Euromillions jackpot winners may choose anonymity; it’s quite common after lottery wins of this magnitude. However, it looks as though we may become as familiar with the names of these lucky winners as we are with Nigel and Justine Page who won £56 million on the Euromillions Lottery in 2010.

The Euromillions Lottery win puts the Weirs from Largs in Scotland at 430th place on the Times Rich List, above many well-known names and celebrities and means that they really are rich beyond their wildest dreams.

The prize is the biggest ever from the Euromillions Lottery and beats the previous £113 million jackpot record set last October by a considerable amount. That lottery winner chose anonymity and so did an £84 million winner in 2010.

Now that the jackpot has been won, we are back to basics for tonight’s Euromillions draw, although with a £13 million jackpot, we’re sure many players will still be buying Euromillions tickets for the draw!
