A Georgia woman has claimed the massive $133 Million Mega Millions prize that went unclaimed for three weeks. People were starting to wonder whether a winner would ever come forward for this staggering amount.
According to Mega Millions lottery officials Phyllis and Frank Skinner and their three children claimed the outstanding prize last Thursday, they say they were aware of the big win but had been consulting with financial advisers since the winning draw on August 29th 2008. They have not confirmed whether they have decided what to do with their winning but $133 million should go a long way to realising any dreams.
Phyllis Skinner purchased the $133 Million Mega Millions ticket at her local gas station and one things is for sure, they won’t be worrying about the rising price of fuel any longer.
Mega Millions is America’s multistate lottery, tickets can be purchased in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington state. To hit the Mega Millions Jackpot you must match all five main numbers plus the Mega ball.
This $133 Million Mega Millions Prize although big, is nowhere near the record $390 million shared by two players on March 6th 2007 but it is up there with some of the biggest jackpots won by a single person.
Mega Millions draws take place twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday evening, tickets can be purchased up to 15 minutes before the draw and you can play the draw from anywhere in the world using the link on our Mega Millions page.
