$27 Million lottery win for Toronto couple

Imagine buying a lottery ticket on a Friday and then having to wait all weekend to find out if you had actually won £27 million! Well that’s exactly what happened to a Toronto couple who bought a Super 7 lottery ticket and saw all their numbers come out in Friday’s draw. Doug and Liz Kinsman spent a sleepless weekend waiting for the Ontario Lottery headquarters to open before being able to 100% confirm their win.
 

They didn’t actually watch the draw but checked their ticket later and after checking off 4 numbers Liz was guessing the next numbers and wouldn’t believe that they she didn’t believe that her husband was telling the truth. They then took the winning ticket to his local shop and scanned the ticket to check and the machine showed “Your ticket is worth $27 million”. Can you imagine how he must have felt? I think if it had been me I may well have passed out!

Back to the story – Still not quite believing it Doug took the ticket to another shop and scanned it again only for the second machine to say exactly the same thing as the first. It was only then that they really started to believe they had actually won and called their children.

So what do they plan on doing with their winnings? One thing on the agenda is taking the whole family on a Christmas Cruise, something they usually do alone.

Funnily enough the winning ticket didn’t just hold the big winning line; they also scooped $10 on another line on the same ticket. Lady Luck really was shining on the Kinsman’s this weekend!
