UK National Lottery
The UK National Lottery has been available to play since November 1994 and has made countless players millionaires since it was first launched. In March 2002 this lottery rebranded itself and was given the new name of the UK Lotto, however it is still widely known as the UK National Lottery. When it was first introduced this lottery game was really popular to play and although interest in the UK National Lottery has declined it still attracts players from around the world.
The UK National Lottery is a 6 from 49 game meaning that players have to pick six numbers and match them all to win the jackpot. The jackpots in this lottery start at a minimum of £2.2 million for a Wednesday night draw and then are slightly higher at £4.4 million for a Saturday night draw. If the jackpot isn’t won then it rollovers to the next draw which means a bigger prize will be available to win. However, jackpots in the UK National Lottery can only rollover four times and if by the fifth draw the top prize still hasn’t been won then it will roll down and be split equally between the players in the next winning prize tier. To date the biggest ever jackpot won in the UK National Lottery was worth an impressive £42,008,610 and was won by three winning tickets on the 6th January 1996.
In total there are five prizes available to win in the UK National Lottery and if players match a minimum of three numbers they will win the only guaranteed prize in this lottery which is £10.
