Opening a National lottery Account
As with any online site that requires financial transactions you will need to complete a National lottery registration form. The details required are standard to any online lottery site.
- Title
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Postal Address
You are taken through various stages of registration and will need to choose a username, password and then choose 3 security questions and complete the answers. The final stage is choosing a range of free services that the site offers to all its users.
Your registration is then complete and you can start to use the site.
Purchasing your National Lottery 'Lotto' tickets
On the home page of the National Lottery web page, to the right, are 7 rows of 6 boxes, this is where you input the lottery numbers that you would like. There is also the option of choosing “Lucky Dip” simply by clicking the button.

When you have completed as many lines as you want to purchase, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see the options for which National Lottery draws and for how many weeks you wish to purchase for.
You will then need to make a deposit into your account if you haven’t already. The funding options available at the National Lottery website are:-
- Maestro
- Switch
- Solo
- Visa Delta
- Visa Electron
Simply complete the relevant details and choose an amount to deposit.
Then you can purchase your tickets.
Personally I always buy my National Lottery Lotto tickets online simply because it’s easier. I always buy four weeks in advance and I never have to worry about checking if I’m a winner because the National Lottery website will email you updates and if you are lucky enough to win they will let you know.
